In the role of Marketing Communications Specialist, you will lead and contribute to Ekona’s external messaging through web site, social media, conference and public relations channels.  

 

Primary Responsibilities:

 

Work with external consultants, as required, to manage and develop Ekona’s public relations and communications strategy
Manage Ekona’s website and content creation, which will include collaboration with Ekona’s technical, program and business development teams, as well as contractors when needed
Build marketing materials for Ekona’s external communications, which may include presentations, brochures and white papers, as well as journal articles from time to time in targeted trade publications.  
Coordinate Ekona’s media engagement and delivery
Execute and manage press releases for the company
Oversee Ekona’s social media platforms
Manage Ekona’s participation at conferences, which will include selecting events that meet Ekona’s strategic objectives, registering, arranging stakeholder meetings and attending conferences, as required.

 

You bring:

 

5+ years of experience in Marketing Communications.
Strong communication abilities both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, fluid environment.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related discipline.
Proficiency in website and social media design.
Familiarity with press release procedures and guidelines.
Proficiency in all office communication formats including MS Office products.
