We are looking for a Market Manager to develop Ekona’s strategic marketing research, external communications and messaging.  In this role, you will work closely with the Product Development, Business Development and Marketing Communication teams to build Ekona’s marketing analysis, narrative and brand recognition with external stakeholders.  This is a rare opportunity to be part of a team that will be responsible for building a successful, sustainable, and strategic business from the ground up.

 

Successful candidates will require a limited technical background, sufficient to understand the key elements of Ekona’s technical solution and market requirements.  Candidates must be detail driven with excellent communication skills, building new concepts from early-stage or inception.  

 

  • You will collaborate with Ekona’s Business Development team to conduct market analysis for Ekona’s methane pyrolysis platform, summarize considerations such as market size, customers, key stakeholders, incumbent technology solutions, product requirements for technology development and critical barriers to market entry.
  • You will collaborate with the Product Development and Delivery team to conduct competitive analysis of Ekona’s solution with competing pathways. Competitive analysis will consider technology platform attributes, intellectual property landscape and corporate considerations.
  • You will work with the Product Development, Business Development and Finance teams to refine and manage Ekona’s techno-economic analysis.
  • You will work with Ekona’s Marketing Communications group to develop key messaging and materials for external communications, which will include website development, media engagements, conferences, presentations, white papers as well as other materials for customer and stakeholder engagement.


Primary Responsibilities

Reporting to the Vice President of Business Development, you will be responsible for:

  • Strategic Marketing: market analysis, key stakeholders and technology requirements,
  • Competitive Analysis: assess Ekona’s technology against incumbent and competing solutions
  • Techno-economic Analysis: evaluate Ekona’s cost of hydrogen production and greenhouse gas emissions for various technology and deployment scenarios.
  • Website: develop materials for Ekona’s external website and manage updates and queries
  • Presentations: develop Ekona’s presentation for external audiences
  • White Papers: develop Ekona’s white papers for generating though leadership position
  • Conferences: plan Ekona’s participation and delivery for strategic conferences
  • Media: coordinate Ekona’s media engagement and delivery


You bring:

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, marketing, business or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience,
  • 10+ years of corporate marketing and/or product management experience,
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills,
  • Sound business and technical vision,
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment,
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs
  • Exceptional relationship skills.
